10 years of healing broken hearts

Gosford Private Hospital is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its heart clinic, which has delivered access to cutting-edge cardiac care for patients on New South Wales’ Central Coast.

The Gosford Heart Centre has treated more than 21,000 people since opening in 2012 including Leigh, a 76-year-old who was one of its first patients.

“The convenience of being able to access quality care without leaving the Coast is just something you can’t ignore,” said the Cooranbong local, who has also had several other types of procedures at the hospital.

Interventional cardiologist Dr Brendan Gunalingam, who performed Leigh’s coronary angiography and stenting a decade ago, is the centre’s director.

Run by Healthe Care Australia, Gosford is the largest private hospital on the Central Coast with 11 operating theatres and 148 patient beds.
