This skill set is designed to upskill workers in the food industry who want to gain the skills and knowledge to manage risks arising from COVID-19.
What you will learn:
- How to follow precautions for infection prevention and control and respond to infection risks in the workplace
- How to identify infection hazards and assess risks
- How to follow procedures for managing risks
The training is ideal for frontline staff in the food handling, restaurant, pub, tourism, hospitality and related industries.
Training conditions -
- Commence training within 5 business days of enrolling
- Complete assessment within 30 days of training commencement
- All training and assessment for this skill set must be completed within 5 weeks of the enrolment date
Eligibility criteria
- USI
- Minimum 15 years of age
- Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident/Eligible Visa holder
- Living or working in ACT
- Employed in the industry
- Initial skills assessment
- Access to computer and internet
- Basic computing skills
- Access to a workplace in your nominated industry to complete the practical assessments
